Why would you consider therapy? There could be all sorts of reasons – whether a specific issue or circumstance, or just a desire to better understand yourself, your life and your relationships with others.
I’m a BACP registered psychotherapist and counsellor with wide experience of offering both short and long term therapy. I work in Denmark Hill, fives minutes’ walk from the main line/Overground station, and close to Camberwell, Brixton, East Dulwich and Herne Hill.
I view therapy as a collaborative process, a way to make sense of the world in a safe, non-judgemental environment. I aim to be transparent, open-minded and interested. I don’t view myself as the expert on your life, but someone who can explore with you the things that give it meaning.
You might have a particular issue you wish to think about, for example anxiety, depression, psychosomatic illness, bereavement, pregnancy and parenthood, relationship difficulties, sexual issues, addiction, cultural issues or low self-esteem. Or you might just feel that this is the right time to explore and discuss your life, your choices and expectations, and any changes you want to make.
If you have any questions or would like to book an initial session, please call 07391 955277 or email me at info@shellymorris.co.uk
